Question :
What is pixel mapping?
Answer :
Pixel mapping is a function to check and adjust the image sensor (CCD, MOS sensor) and image processing functions simultaneously.
You do not need to perform this function immediately after purchase.
If you notice unnatural bright dots on the captured image data, there may be dead pixels on the image sensor. In such case, perform pixel mapping.
If you still see bright dots after running pixel mapping, repeat the function a few times.
For best results, wait at least a minute after shooting or playback before running pixel mapping.
Refer to the instruction manual for your camera for how to perform pixel mapping.
You can also view the instruction manual in PDF files on the following page:
Note :
If you accidentally turn the camera off while pixel mapping is in process, be sure to perform the function again.
