1. How to adjust.

OLYMPUS recommend following procedure to use this function appropriately.

[1] Subject
A poster or a drawings like a plane figure which is sharp and clear under bright condition.
* Please avoid to use subjects which are mentioned in the reference manual as subjects that are difficult to focus on.

[2] Setting
To set a camera (image sensor) parallel to a subject, distance around 2 to 3 m is recommended.
To set an exposure mode to A and the fast aperture.difficult to focus on.
We recommend to use a tripod with the IS off.




2. Procedure
I. To set same adjusting value to the all AF targets.

The adjusting value is effective to all lenses and all AF targets.

 Note:
 - If there is the lens data, that data has priority to effect.


  1. I-1. To push the MENU button.
    A camera shows the menu on the LCD monitor.




  2. I-2. To push after selecting the tab with .




  3. I-3. To push after selecting the tab with .




  4. I-4. To push after selecting the AF FOCUS ADJ. with .




  5. I-5. To push after selecting the SET AF DATA with .




  6. I-6. To push after selecting the DEFAULT DATA with .




  7. I-7. To set +/-0 with . (it is default)




     Note:
     - If you push button, that setting will be set.


  8. I-8. To shoot an image which is reference data to adjust.
    To shoot the subject after the AF works.
    If the AF takes time than usual, the subject is not appropriate for this adjustment.


  9. I-9. To shoot an image which is AF adjusted.

    To set adjusting data with .

    To set around 5 steps to + or - to judge an adjusting direction.


  10. Direction to adjust.
    If front focus, the direction to adjust is +.
    If back focus, the direction to adjust is -.

     Note:
     - You can shoot with other adjusting setting repeatedly.

    To shoot an image in same to the section I-8.


  11. I-10. To check the images whether the adjustment is proper or not.
    To push menu button to escape this setting.
    To check the images which are recorded.

     Note:
     - The adjustment data is not registered in this moment.
    You can compare the images easily in the light box display,
    and you can see adjusted data on the image.


  12. I-11. To registered the adjusting data.
    Please make a procedure that is section I-1 to I-7.

II. To set adjustment data to lenses individually.

To adjust AF data to lenses, AF targets individually.
The date is effective only to the lens that you set.
If you like to adjust other lenses which you haven't adjust, please adjust individually.
If a camera has the LENS DATA for the lens you are attaching, the data DEFAULT DATA is ignored.

     Note:
