The camera uses an electronic viewfinder (EVF), and dark areas may be lost in shadows under backlit or other high contrast conditions. The ［S-OVF］ function increases the amount of detail visible in highlights and shadows in a manner similar to optical viewfinders.
The effects of exposure, white balance, picture mode art filters, and other shooting settings cannot be previewed, but backlit subjects and the like are easier to see.
