Questions :
Question :
Approximately how many shots can be taken with a fully charged battery?
Answer:
The number of recordable shots with a fully charged BLX-1 battery are:
- Approx. 500 shots when Quick Sleep Mode is Off
- Approx. 1,010 shots when Quick Sleep Mode is On
- * when using KIOXIA KSDXU-A064G, IS set to ON, without flash, based on CIPA standard
Question :
What is the approximate movie recording time with a fully charged battery?
Answer:
The approximate movie recording time with a fully charged BLX-1 battery are:
- Approx. 90 min according to JEITA
- Approx. 150 min when zooming or other operations are not used
Note:
- - When the video taken with a SDXC card exceeds 3 hours, the video is automatically divided and the rest is saved as a separate file. (Depending on the shooting conditions, the file may be divided in less than 3 hours.)
- - When the video taken with a SD/SDHC card exceeds 4 GB, the video is automatically divided and the rest is saved as a separate file. (Depending on the shooting conditions, the file may be divided in less than 4 GB.)
Question :
What is the approximate file size in each record mode?
Answer:
The following tables show the approximate values:
·When shooting in RAW mode
·When shooting in JPEG mode
·When shooting in High Res Shot (Tripod, Handheld)
Note:
The same image (OM Digital Solutions' standard image) is used to calculate the file size in each mode. The file size depends on the subject or the type of memory card.

Regarding RAW recording 14bit for High Res Shot:
If you select 14bit in the recording bit setting for High Res Shot, the tone expression will be richer, but the file size will be larger. It takes time to process the image after shooting than that of the 12bit image. It is suitable to be edited later on a computer.
What is a ORI file?
When image quality mode is set to RAW+JPEG, a single RAW image (".ORI" extension) before combining is saved in addition to the combined High Res Shot. This RAW image can be played back in OM Workspace.

Video Codec H.265:
H.265 codec is a setting intended for editing on a computer, such as for video production. Although the file size can be compressed better compared to the H.264 codec, a TV or monitor that supports 10-bit input is required to play the videos with correct color and brightness. The videos cannot be played back in OM Workspace. If you do not have the equipment that allows you to playback or edit H.265 videos, set the recording codec to H.264.
Note:
- - The video file format is MOV (H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, H.265/HEVC).
- - The table shows the values when set to the maximum frame rate. The actual recorded bit rate varies depending on the shooting scene or combination of frame rates.
Question :
I cannot shoot in shutter speed 1/640 or 1/160 second, or slower. Why?
Answer:
When sequential shooting mode is set to SH2 (High-speed Sequential SH2) or ProCap SH2 (Pro Capture SH2), the slowest shutter speed is limited to the following:
- When Max fps is set to 50fps: 1/640 second
- When Max fps is set to 25fps, 16.7fps or 12.5fps: 1/160 second
If you want to shoot in a slower shutter speed, set to other sequential shooting modes.
Note:
In SH1 (High-speed Sequential SH1) or ProCap SH1 (Pro Capture SH1), the slowest shutter speed is limited to 1/15 second.
